Matilda Jane Party

Also, I'm having a November family special. I am portfolio building for families right now so for $200 I am doing a limited number of family sessions. This will include all of the images on a CD plus a Christmas Card design. It will also include individuals of each family member. This special is for a family of five. Please add $25 for every additional member.

I just loved this session with Cedar Hills council woman Marisa Wright and her husband Joel Wright. Joel is running for Utah County commissioner soon so I'm sure you will see more of him.



Also, my sisters and I are hosting a Matilda Jane Party a week from this Tuesday. If you love these little girl clothes as much as I do you be sure to come. They are beautiful and they have just released their winter line.
The party will be at my parents home in Alpine. We will be having yummy treats and giving away awesome door prizes. Be sure to come.

I have had so many sessions lately that I'm having a hard time posting. I'll try to get all my latest sessions posted soon.

Meanwhile, those that are waiting for your CD's and pictures I'm running a little behind but I'm burning the midnight oil trying to get your pictures done as fast as I can. Thanks for being patient.

Lastely, I will be uploading all of my recent sessions on a new wordpress blog made just for photographers. I'm so excited about it. Posting will take a lot less time plus I just love the new look. Watch for it in the next few days.

Ashley

So my sister Camille orchastrated this little maternity shoot the other day. There were four photographers shooting away at cute little pregnant Ashley. She was little too. She is only 26 days away from giving birth and she looks like this. She was an awesome model who was willing to do what we asked her. We wanted her to do a cute little leg lift in the back. . . I forgot how hard that would be to do when your almost nine months pregnant. Lots of fun.

I also just want to do a big "shout out" to my two sisters Camille and Cori who do photography along with me. They are awesome and I definitely would not be as far along in photography without them. The three of us study, learn, and try together. I often get asked how I've come so far in photography so fast. Well, its because of the three of us working together. Otherwise it would have been totally impossible. We share lots of information and that helps tons. Thanks sister's!

Baby Ava

Ava was three weeks old so we only got one awake shot. She was so adorable and I loved meeting her sweet aunt that brought her to my home.

Ava's Mom passed away during child birth due to complications with pre-eclampsia or toxemia. Since I had the same thing when I was pregnant with Baylee this situation hit close to home.

Luckily baby Ava has a wonderful Dad and a three year old sister along with grandparents, aunts and uncles that are all helping take care of her. Ava's grandparents were serving a mission in Peru and came home to attend their daughters funeral and now Ava is their mission. She certainly is well loved and taken care of.

Thank you Kaylene Bitter who facilitated my taking pictures of Ava. Kaylene is a good friend of Ava's family and really loved her Mom.

Hatfields

Oh my gosh I had so much fun hanging out with the Hatfields on Saturday evening. Shad is a fireman for Lehi City so they wanted part of their session at the station. The other firemen were so nice to let us take over their bay for a couple of hours. One of them even stood behind me to help make the girls laugh.

What a fun family! I hope the girls had a good time at the Zoo for behaving so well.

Bean and Corn

I just love these two little girls nicknames: Bean and Corn. These two have the most amazing eyes I have ever seen. They are adorable. Their Mom always dresses them in the best outfits too. I love the gymboree and naartjie clothes.

Jennica

Jennica decided to work the camera. . . . . I was so excited. She has been so camera shy lately that I was worried she would never model for me again. But, here she is acting like she owns Parent magazine (sorry, I can't think of any other magazine with kid models). Sorry, there are a ton of them.

Camille

I took a few profile pictures of my sister Camille yesterday. She told me not to post them . . . but, I talked her into it. I think as Mom's we take pictures of our kids and our families but never of us. I would have cherished a picture of my Mom in her twenties, thirties, forties and beyond. I still want my Mom to let me take some pictures of her and I would love them. Hopefully she will let me one day. . . .

Many of us put this off thinking we would do it when we loose weight but really as we age the best were ever going to look is now. So do it.

Avery

I went to Julie Parker's "Get Schooled" workshop last week. It was very illuminating. I realized that I definetely have a tendency to over edit (I just love photoshop) so I'm working on that. Most of all it gave me a little bit more of a motivation to use natural light instead of the studio. Anyway, I recommend it to anyone looking to improve their camera skills.

Baylee

Baylee and I played around in the studio yesterday. I loved the backdrop. I borrowed it from my sister Cori who bought it at Drop it Modern. Hmmmm. . . I think I may have to buy it.

Family Reunion

Had a blast this weekend hanging with my extended family. I think I drove everyone crazy taking so many pictures of everyone. Some did not appreciate it.

The Twins first day of preschool

The twins started preschool today. It's so cute to see these guys in with their backpacks feeling big like Baylee. I just love these two little spirits. They play so good together all day. Sometimes I want to be in their little make believe world. . . .its often very exciting. I'll hear them yelling and I'll run in just to find that one of their pretend toys was yelling for it's mommy.

Gage

I must say that this is one good looking boy! With a little fruit snacks he did wonderful.

I had to snap a couple of pictures of her in the studio before she went to school this morning.

McKenna

This is David's niece Kristen's adorable little six month old. She is so cute! I will have to post a few more when I have them done.

A new brown hat.

I don't know why but I just love brown on my kids - probably because of their big brown eyes. I found this hat at The Children's place and thought I would try it out today. Baylee really got into it.

Bement

Danielle I think your little girl looks so much like Hailey. So beautiful! I just loved all of her dark black hair. Too bad she didn't want to sleep for us. We still got some good ones any ways.

Baby Abagail

Introducing My New D700!

I am so excited. I finally got my new Nikon D700! It is an amazing camera that can take awesome pictures in low light situations. It was quite the investment and upgrade from my Nikon D200 but I think it is totally worth it. I can't wait to do an outdoor session.

Christy Pulley

I went to High school with Christy. It was so fun to see her very grown up family. Her kids are beautiful and so photogenic. It made my job easy. We took a few more pictures of Chris her son since we were kind of doing his senior pictures wrapped around a few family ones.

Out of Town

I will be out of town until August 5th. I will return all calls and emails on August 6th. Were off to the Buckskin World show to watch David's stallion compete on a National level. Hopefully we'll all have a good time. It's a sixteen hour drive from here to Tulsa Oklahoma. Ye Haw!

Abigail

This was the cutest bright eyed little 21/2 week old I have ever met. We tried everything to get her to go to sleep but she was not having any of it. Here is a rare minute with her eyes closed. I will definately post more of these next week when I get home from my trip.

Pulley

Christy, I only got one edited before I had to leave. I will get more done when I get back. I just loved spending the other evening with you and your darling family.

Bunker

David's sisters and his Mom were taking a fun girls trip to Nauvoo this week. They wanted to get some pictures done while they were all together. I will definately post more later.
